He is not one bit delusional....he.knows he was rubbish....he's not an idiot, he knows he is completely out of his depth and he knew he would be before he went in. Listen to the podcast on his show....he is friends irl with Ant and Dec, they have bugged him for years to do it. His gf wants the house remodelling (hence the I've put the House on the market bit in his letter from home) so its easy cashso he agreed to it. He's a germaphobe, a control freak and a bit of a wuss.
