Someone told my friend that she could be able to receive extra payments on top of her Cost of Living payments.

So she went to the website where, if you're very poor and in need, you can apply for grants and extra money to see you through the winter. This fund apparently runs into a few billion.

The website said 'press here to apply.'

'Applications for the Household Support Fund are now closed.'

Some fookin' help that is. Why is there a closing date? She's not applying for next new Big Brother. She's applying for help! Jeez, this country is just getting worse!
