or Australia delivering an upset to Argentina, i mean they have one job, block Messi, and all others are pretty much useless without him in form

Netherlands is the favourite against USA but this whole tournament they haven't played too convincing and that in a very weak group a, whereas US remained standing against England with that good 0-0 (really hope Pulisic can play, he and Gakpo played together here in the PSV youth team a nice fun fact) and Gregg Berhalter and Louis van Gaal have a past at Sparta Rotterdam

France having a easy one, vs sweaty mcsweatface manager and Poland

England on paper should easily beat Senegal but Senegal this tournament have proven to themselves they can win without their big star Sadio Mané and their coach Aliou Cisse btw is quite the cult icon there

Japan can beat Croatia, but will be a close call match that one i think

Brazil is the heavy favourite against South Korea and now with their A squad compared to yesterday against Cameroon when most of the reserves played, feel sad though yesterday for Dani Alves but i thought he himself played decently for his age

Morocco and Spain, the moroccans have what it takes to deliver a upset, but i don't easily rule out Spain, also LOL at Luis Enrique not been aware they were eliminated for 3 minutes during costa rica germany game when costa rica were ahead

Portugal and Switzerland, Portugal have Ronaldo but the Swiss got more of a team and powerhouses Xhaka, Xhaqiri, Embolo, Sommer, Akanji tough to predict that one

Arsenal’s Jesus is out of the World Cup

It’s like I predicted after the first couple of games .. the refs are letting too much go .
The cynical players know they can whack a few even injure them ( Neymar now Jesus ) without even getting a warning !!

Two of the world’s best forwards are now effectively out of the WC .

Also Messi and Mitrovic , Foden , Kane plus tigers are all carrying ankle / foot injuries.

Messi now has 14 goals + 4 assists in 11 games in 2022 for Argentina.

the constant fawning of the bbc over messi is very tiresome. We all know he was a good player in his time, but he is a shadow of his former self now. It's embarrassing

You missed the game last night ?

Your choice of wording is very telling ..

“ a good player “

I’ve always regarded Tchaikovsky as a half decent composer ..

A reminder then .. given he’d been kicked and blocked off throughout the game , a lot went on off camera apparently.

I think that last crunching assault on him triggered him into coming alive for that last 20 minutes or so

Classy move from the Brazil manager .. bringing on their third choice keeper for the last 15 minutes .. ensuring that EVERY player Shaw now had a game !!

Are you watching Southgate !!!!!

If we go one nil down against France which is entirely possible.. Southgate will go all defensive as usual and shut up with the hope we get a few free kicks and corners

Thanks.

Sadly he couldn't get Brazil to cave last night, damn it with Brazil and their natural talent.

I have zero idea who wins this competition !

Any out of the last 8 other than Croatia I’d say … Holland and Morocco are real dark horses as well .

The other five all have an equal chance .. guess it’s gonna come down to a bit of luck judging by Spain hitting the post with the last kick of extra time ..

It's Brazil's to lose imo.

One of France, England or Portugal as the Challenger.

Paddy Power bookies just on the radio and confirmed that two punters won big .. correctly betting on a 6:1 Portugal victory over Morocco at odds of 200:1 !!
