Sunak and Mordant being lined up apparently

yeah i heard that, but if they dont go through a leadership contest of some form it will look even worse. They need some time to shore up their support again and just anointing a new leader isn't going to achieve that

Sunak was the runner-up, I suppose he could be the "default" to take over?

If it was the first change of PM from the last election it could be possible to look okay.

The pressure I think is likely to be applied to Truss to resign rather than a clearer forcing out.
The members too would be livid NOT to get their say again.

Changes to electing a leader is what's needed and I do think in ALL Parties it's the MPs we elect who should choose their leader in parliament.

I still think to change not just leader but PM again twice while in power should not be acceptable to the electorate.
It just would stink to high heaven.

In opposition sort things out if they can be and elect as many leaders as they like.
In government however, where continuity and competence is essential.
It shouldn't be right for any Party to be playing about like this with leaders and the high office of Prime Minister.

Then you can Vote in Starmer.

Actually I wanted Sunak or Mordaunt - either of whom should have been chosen anyway.

I am still staggered any right thinking person could have looked at Truss and seen a PM. She is 'at best' a primary school teacher. That's it.

BUT, it looks like Sunak or Mordaunt might be taking the reigns of power. What a God-Send.

Never been to this even though it's very close to me. It's very telling how bad she did considering T.Wells is a solid blue town.
