People transferring knives between butter/margarine/marmalade and toast back-and-forth and wondering why bread residue infiltrates all over the top when you do it that way, instead of using a spoon to scoop out what you need from the container/jar and a knife to spread it per-se.

I am a bit WTF about that.

One of my pet peeves is when I find bits of scraped toast in the butter dish or coffee granules in the sugar bowl !!

Yeah, I don’t spoon-mix with incompatible bits of food. I either use different utensils or wash them after one application. Can’t have sugar tasting like dry pepper or the butter-container housing every bread-crumb under the sun.

I actually do have a history of OCD-related issues but as far as domestic propriety goes that’s just me and the way I am. I just take it to extreme limits.

Mhm, but it’s a kind of disgusting that’s very normal. Most people do it.

Thankfully I'm in the minority then.

That's horrible.

Yup. Sometimes it’s good to be a little different.

Mhm, I guess in my case it’s more a case of being quirkily steadfast and perfectionistic than owt else (in the vague hope for a better world one day). I don’t do weird but I don’t do just-plain average either unless it’s to do with something that I know I’m really no good at (and God knows I have my flaws, like everyone else).

Mmmmm .. I am also a perfectionist !!

Sadly I have soooo many flaws and imperfections which is especially frustrating for a perfectionist, of course

Generally speaking I embrace being ‘different’ … I am an avid herpetologist for example - which always shocks people when they discover I have loads of snakes ..
