[Arrest made amid protest outside
drag queen children´s event at Tate Britain
]

The Tate was hosting Drag Queen Story
Hour UK on Saturday, with tales told
by author Aida H Dee, who the
gallery’s website describes as
the first drag artist in Europe to read
stories to children in a nursery”
.

Writing on Twitter, the drag queen
said the day had been “proper emotional”,
adding that five protesters had
gained entry to the Tate and
“caused a disruption” in parts of the building,
but they did not affect the readings.]

[The Metropolitan Police said the person
was arrested on suspicion of making
a racially aggravated comment towards
a police officer outside

the central London art gallery
on Saturday.

Around 30 far-right protesters clashed
with similar numbers of counter-protesters
who appeared in support of the Trans story-telling.]

That report is absolute rubbish.

About 80 supporters of the drag queen surrounded and assaulted 3 people protesting against the drag queen(the1st 3 to arrive)..

Interesting that Sarah, the lady in the red berry had spent time talking to this man in a previous video. She knew him and was willing to talk to him again. Unlike the absolute morons chanting nazi without even knowing someone, while they refuse to talk and debate the subject.

Wait, so were the ones who pretend to be against fascism, were they the ones who used oppressive violence against the people with whom they disagreed?

These absolute morons always pretend it's about the children, but it's not about them, and it never will be. These people don't believe that children are in danger from drag queens, they just want to validate their bigotry. Kids have been seeing drag queens perform in the UK for plenty of decades, it's called Pantomime, and a drag queen reading nursery stories to kids is not going to harm them in the slightest but raging mobs piling outside where the kids are to cause intimidation and fear certainly will.

These people and anyone who thinks that LGBT stuff is harmful to kids are just thick as pig****. They just are. Those kids are smarter, more understanding and more empathetic than those angry man children outside.

You aren't protecting kids by refusing to acknowledge that gay people exist, you are protecting your own bigotry and throwing actual LGBT children to the wolves in the process.

It reminds me of that moronic LibsofTikTok and the complete knobheads who follow them, they literally lied out their arse and said that a hospital in America was giving sex change operations to kids, which anyone with a brain could tell you doesn't happen. This lead to these ****ing ***** deciding 'Let's protect the kids!' and they then proceeded to send bomb threats to the hospital full of sick children.

It's never about the kids. Anyone who says it is is a liar. It's about fragile, incompetent people too stupid to function trying to push their hatred on folks. These morons probably get off on the thought of LGBT kids coming to harm as a result of their actions.

Hey, pantomimes have dancing girls, maybe strippers should go to schools to talk about feminism!

No-one (with a brain) has a problem with children knowing about LGBT people; no-one with a brain would act as if people questioning the appropriateness of Adult Entertainers are the right people to expose them to the topic is LGBTphobic.

The problem is that you're deeply ignorant and you are pushing the narrative of 'gay things = adult things'. A drag queen can be risque or adult, or they can be very child friendly, like a panto dame or any show for kids that's ever featured anything similar.

The problem isn't that drag queens reading to children is inherently problematic, it's that you're uncomfortable with it and you're projecting that onto the drag queens because it's your flaw and your misunderstanding.

It's really quite sad that you don't understand anything about LGBT culture as an LGBT person yourself and that everything you say just sounds like the same **** that comes out of the mouth of any Murdoch drone.

Standard adult logic of someone who's read too much Murdoch **** and has lost the ability to think for themselves, more like.

Those kids are already smarter, more compassionate and just better equipped for the real world then you will ever be, because you're just a gullible person that reads **** and lacks the critical thinking to see it for what it is. It's sad that the older generations have been infected with that rot, but at least the future looks brighter.

The problem is this one reading at the tate modern has a go fund me page for a convicted paedophille...thus creating a suspicion there may be child safety issues regarding this man being around children.

No I'm not. If Tom Daley was reading a book about a family with two dads, I'd be all for it. An openly gay (and wholesome!) celebrity reading a book about an increasing common family type would be the perfect way to introduce LGBT themes to children.

For this person's funeral, yes.

I'm not into guilt by association. Especially when it's raising money for a funeral, not court proceedings or whatever.

Don't get me wrong, if it were someone I knew I wouldn't even attend the funeral, let alone raise money for it. Which is a very easy thing to say, and even to promise oneself and mean it.

I'm not about to suggest that doing this implies any wrongdoing on the drag queen's part. I will continue to say that the world of drag is inappropriate for children, and someone who wants to work with kids especially in the public eye should keep everything about themselves that is public-facing squeaky clean.

I would agree with this, I think its terribly ill judged to raise money for a paedo's funeral if you are working with children, however kind your motives are, we tarred Andrew with guilt by association not sure why Aida H Dee would not be seen in the same light, the other issue i have is the mockery of ADHD I am sure it is no laughing matter for kids that suffer from it
