His career started after Buchan's finished, started a while before Roper's but overlapped. (apparently I got his position wrong, he was Full-Back rather than Striker. But his still Captained both England and Arsenal)

Apparently the big noises in the Beeb and government are gonna DEMAND a full apology from Lineker !!

Honestly good on everyone who's rebelling to the BBC's actions here.
He didn't say anything which reflects on the BBC, only himself. He didn't call for violence, or say anything inflammatory. Giving him a "yellow card" over that is ridiculous.
