Unfortunately for Maǹ Utd the battle was firmly won in the midfield.

Man Utd were definitely more sloppy at keeping the ball than Man City were, which is just as important a job for the midfield than it is to pass well.

Tbf though I do think only losing 2-1 to the Champions is a respectable fight, especially considering Man City are fighting for a treble.

Seriously though I agree with your sentiment, it's only a game at the end of the day, and Man Utd have had overall the second best season out of the Premier League teams imo.

City were scared of United near the end, hence going to the corner flag and feigning injuries, the classic tricks the winning team uses when they aren't comfortable in the match.

Man City did play very well though, you can see why there was a 14 point gap between the two of them in the League.

Hopefully though Man Utd can get a decent striker in the Summer.

I have to be cruel here, and a soar bitch, and say im happy for City. Utd broke my heart in the 94 final as a toddler. Then 2008 after my heart was almost healed, they broke it again in CL final.

I just can't root for Utd in any finals.

Tbf, best team won.
