Hi. So I'm still feeling drained but more positive. A huge weight has been lifted as Karl and I are talking and he's told me I can stay put. I've made him a repayment with more to follow.

Plus my friends who know about it are supporting me.

Plus you guys on here

Great to hear you are talking and the awful thought of being homeless is over, keep your payment plan to him in place and gain his trust again. Well done Kate so pleased things are improving.

Thanks everyone.

Yes he said it was because I was doing something about it all. It won't take too long to repay him. It'll take longer to regain and rebuild trust but I've only myself to blame for that. Nevertheless I do feel a lot better.

Well done for stopping Kate - I've seen people lose everything to gambling. Careers, homes, businesses... terrible to see, even worse when you've been facilitating it.

Honestly it's a really unique addiction - it doesn't take a physical toll like most addictions but there is no other addiction, not the heaviest drug habit in the world, that can cause so much financial devastation so quickly. I saw a man go from £70k to his last 50p in a week. Absolutely shocking.

The bloke I work with now used to work in a slaughter house.

I told him not to beat himself up about it. I'm telling you the same TS, lifes to short.
