Default Something feels missing from this series.. a vital piece..

Obviously not giving up at all I’m gonna stick with it but I feel like a week in most other series there was more to cling to and more tangible dynamics. I expect stuff will develop as time goes on but yeah just a gut feeling I get.

I think a lot of it was taken up by Kerry vs Farida. Now that’s over we’ll see others a bit more.

Cling to the tasks.. The first one was good, and brought lots of laughs and highlighted the main reasons for nominations in the 2 that were up.

..so much of reality TV is manipulated/manufactured now with storylines not feeling real…so I guess in going back to basics, this is not going to feel what we’re used to and might take a bit more adjusting to…?….I’m enjoying it though…I would like a more erased snippets through the daytime though…just to give more talking points…

It's early days yet.

Give it another week at least, and I think it's got real potential.

Wanted to add, by saying this, I dont think ITV BB is lesser, just that its different, and isnt just trying to imitate the golden era, it doesnt seem afraid of forging its own identity, which is what the show needs to survive beyond the first two ITV series

Well, eviction nights wouldn’t be the same without you lot would they, there deffo would be something missing. It feels very nostalgic here, although there are a few faces missing from the old days.

…hopefully it’s learned how to get it right by getting it wrong…?…I think it was said that it would be old school but reworked for today’s audience and I think that’s pretty accurate…

I think the house layout has a lot to do with why it seems a bit lacking; it's very open plan, so we see a lot of long shots, rather than the more intimate ones we're used to. The tasks are a bit dull and I'm not warming to Will Best as a presenter - he overtalks AJ and keeps fidgeting!

Not keen on the presenters…a bit wish washy. No one allowed to Boo..that always made the HM’s paranoid..no smoking area where the real bitching and gossip happened.

But still enjoying it.

It feels like a knock off version of big brother, they have got the house matés right this time and that’s making the show watchable

Six weeks is making this series seem rushed
5 weeks left and 15 housemates left

It's a bit odd hearing everyone get cheers, but on the other hand... was it really a good idea to influence the housemates by letting them hear boos and "get x housemate out" chants and etc etc . I like the idea of them all not knowing who's a fav and who's disliked.

Also the boos use to get so deafening like badly done panto... to the point where some interviews were too noisy and distracting.

I think it’s missing any controversy, there isn’t anything to get wound up about or discuss in the forums
Also there is no spark of romance , I always hated showmances but they used to spark a bit of drama and jealousy
I think the show is a bit boring to be honest and I can’t even remember most of the housemates names after a week of hour long shows and live feed
I know many love the back to basics feel but where’s the drama or excitement?

The drama /controversy , racism, threats of violence, bullying is what got big brother cancelled

If we get any of the above in this series it will be gone for good

It’s what made the show entertaining though even if anyone is loathe to admit it , the fight nights the arguments the drama is what made people watch or pick a team and tune in
