Do we think this is a good or bad sign? To me it feels they possibly might not be happy with the current viewing figures so are trying to get more eye balls on it?

I mean they have been open that their target was 800k-1m viewers a night and have been far exceeding that and you dont shove a show on the main channel if you feel its struggling

i would imagine it's entirely down to pre-planned scheduling slots now being available.

I also assume the Celebrity version
would do better on ITV1HD

I'd say its a very good sign, you don't give a show a spot on your main channel if it's not doing well

I'm so happy about this. Ideally, I'd have had all the live shows on ITV1 from the off. There's more emphasis on evictions and the final this way when you know more eyes are watching than the daily highlights shows.

Couldn't be helped with the Rugby.

That's brilliant. It will definitely get more viewers on the main channel.

Will it though? What casual viewer tunes into Big Brother half way through the series?

I think Ness is right, a lot will only watch BB on catch up unless it's on the main channel.

Could be a test to see if they can get more viewers and then maybe the next BB will be on itv.

People are (probably) more likely to have one of the Main Four channels on in the background tbf

Do we think the simulcast will effect the voting, with more people watching on ITV1?

Personally I doubt too many people will download the app if they haven't watched before, and vote.

it could swamp the vote based on tonight's highlights. So if they paint Noky as a fiend tonight, it could be disaster. It's difficult to see how they could though
