I wonder how often people (in general) think they're being disliked for their census traits.

Like, a female friend of mine's bf once disliked me scarily strongly, and it didn't occur to any of us (least of all me) it was homophobia. But when she asked him about it, it turned out "because he's gay", which sounds ridiculous coming from anyone under like 60
(they didn't last long. not because of that specifically, but it didn't help)
