DUP has now agreed,
Power Sharing. [DUP executive endorses deal to restore devolution at Stormont] [The Democratic Unionist Party (DUP), the main unionist party in Northern Ireland, has endorsed a deal to return to power-sharing government, its leader has said. Sir Jeffrey Donaldson said it provided a basis for the return, subject to new legislation being passed in parliament, and final agreement on a timetable. It is not perfect but represents a "good outcome" for Northern Ireland. The party has boycotted government at Stormont for nearly two years. "Will we continue to fight for further change? Absolutely yes, we will," Sir Jeffrey told the BBC's Good Morning Ulster. "I think when the detail emerges people will be able to see for themselves just how much progress we have made."] https://www.bbc.co.uk/news/uk-northern-ireland-68136950 Last edited by arista; 30-01-2024 at 10:22 AM. |
