[A woman has been arrested on suspicion
of administering a noxious substance or poison
to cause injury after
two children were taken to hospital.

Emergency services went to a property
in Hunters Way, Uckfield, following welfare concerns
on Thursday and found three people - a woman, 38,
and the two children aged nine and 13.]

[All three are in a serious condition but
currently stable, officers said.
A spokesman for
Sussex Police said: "We are not searching for
anyone else in relation to this investigation.

Our enquiries are ongoing and a heightened
police presence is anticipated in the area at this time.

"This is being treated as an isolated incident
with no threat to the wider community."]
