You know my methods

When married father-of-five Huw Edwards was finally revealed by his wife to be the BBC star accused of inappropriate behaviour with a younger person, the question most sympathetic colleagues, friends and commentators asked was: 'What next for poor Huw?'
But that's not the first question that came to my mind. All I could think of was: What next for Huw's poor wife Vicky Flind — and especially their children? Vicky's statement, delivered just minutes after the Met police revealed no criminal act had been committed, was almost pitifully pleading. Telling the world Huw was 'suffering from serious mental health issues' and receiving 'in-patient hospital care', she was acting, she said, 'primarily out of concern for his mental well-being and to protect our children'. A lioness protecting her pride of cubs and perhaps her own pride, too. How courageous of her and yet how utterly humiliating to have to do it. It made my blood boil. Why is it always the innocent wife who has to clean up the mess her husband made? Why does Vicky have to explain Huw's moments of madness? How can his kids — and yes, I know they are over 18 — ever recover from these startling allegations about their dependable dad? Imagine the moment an ashen-faced Huw must have had to tell Vicky — and then their family — of the shame he'd brought on to them. An alleged £35,000 paid into a young person's bank account for sexual images, and rumours of further secret conversations with other young people. And, now we discover several complaints had been made at the BBC about Edwards's behaviour towards younger colleagues. Vicky added in her statement that 'once well enough to do so, [Huw] intends to respond to the stories that have been published'. Good luck with that. Given his mental health issues, Edwards almost certainly can't be sacked by the BBC and will be on the payroll for the foreseeable future since the Corporation has a duty of care to its employees. What a tragedy he did not consider his duty of care to his wife and children. https://www.dailymail.co.uk/femail/a...wife-kids.html |

[Huw Edwards set to leave the BBC after
being given the inquiry findings into his alleged behaviour after allegations emerged he had paid a young person for sexual images, it was reported on Friday. The BBC News presenter, 62, was suspended by the corporation in July after it was claimed he had paid thousands of pounds for sexual images. Police investigators found no evidence of any criminal wrongdoing by the presenter, and it is expected Mr Edwards will now have the opportunity to respond to the inquiry.] https://www.dailymail.co.uk/news/art...c-scandal.html |

[BBC apologises over handling of Huw Edwards complaint]
[The BBC has apologised for the way it handled a complaint about the presenter Huw Edwards. Allegations about his behaviour were made in May 2023 but did not reach senior managers until 6 July. The corporation said the complaint was not "escalated quickly enough" and that it has now changed its processes. An independent report by Deloitte into the BBC's complaints handling procedure said a complaint by the family of a young person was made on the 18 May. The report said the case was not logged properly nor was there a "documented process" for following up the allegations. The Deloitte report said the initial contact by the family was supposed to be escalated to the relevant regional operations security manager but this did not happen. The complainant was signposted to audience services, however, the day after they made the complaint. But the case was not logged on the BBC's case management system so there "was no opportunity for wider visibility of the case within the BBC." "There was no documented process for contact with the complainant and/or follow up," the report noted.] https://www.bbc.co.uk/news/entertainment-arts-68413999 |

Particularly since he'd rather flash his bits to young guys.
And the BBC should never had paid him that money while he was in a mental hospital. It was very clear he wasn't going back to work at the BBC. And as far as the BBC honouring his contract, bull****. He is the person guilty of his own downfall. He should pay that money to a charity. |
