On a different note I heard a newspaper Editor confirm this morning that the reason no British paper ran the image of Kate with her Mum in the car was due to not paying for pap photos and thereby not encouraging more pap photography so at least some lessons have been learned by the British press

…I don’t think that the tabloids have learned lessons as such, I think that they just have an agreement with the Royal family …(…whichever ones have that agreement…)…and if they break any agreements, it wouldn’t be in either interest…an agreement of common interests, if you like…but I’m quite tabloid sceptical for many reasons so probably not without bias, either…
