Wednesday it would expel Russia's defence attache,
remove diplomatic status from some properties
and limit the length of Russian diplomatic visas.

following an increase in malign activity
by the state in the UK and Europe,
the Home Secretary has announced.

In a Commons statement, James Cleverly
said the attache was being expelled
as an undeclared military intelligence officer
under powers in the Government’s new
security legislation.

He said the Government was also removing
the diplomatic premises status for “several”
Russian-owned properties including
Seacox Heath in Hawkhurst, Sussex,
and the Russian embassy’s trade and defence section
