IRELAND ALLOCATES OVER €15M FOR “CLIMATE” AND “GENDER AGENDA” in Asia...



Finance Minister Michael McGrath has announced €15.63 million in funding to
support developing states in Asia and the Pacific region, to encourage “bold
climate action” and “a transformative gender agenda,” among other things.


The Asian Development Fund is an arm of the Asian Development Bank which
provides zero- and low-interest loans and grants to the poorest countries in Asia and the Pacific.

“As Minister for Finance and Ireland’s Governor at Asian Development Bank, I
am delighted to announce Ireland’s contribution to the Asian Development
Fund, amounting to €15.63 million,” said McGrath in a statement this
morning.

To be fair, yes, that was supposed to be the case and that was what was supposed to happen, unfortunately in something as huge as the NHS it all gets a bit "Chinese whispers" and thus you end up with plenty of examples of staff misunderstanding/misinterpreting the advice.

Thats somewhat inevitable though so perhaps not a good reason throw out the theyby with the bath liquid.

I personally feel like this Forum needs all of us on here, and at times to be "embarrassing" in our own ways.

After all we're a very niche Forum these days, the last thing that we should be doing is trying to drive members away, but that's just my view.

It used to be in some ways. Due to declining numbers and the unfortunate loudness of one ... erm ... "variety" of viewpoint, it's lurched significantly in one direction in the last few years. I can only imagine that anyone even half-way sensible is only still here purely out of habit.
