Default Movie Maker Question? x

Hi
Ive just put a dvd into my laptop but i was wondering if i could use the DVD on windows movie maker? I wanted to work with the dvd on windows movie maker but i dont know how to import it. Ive found the actual file but when i click import it says empty folder.. anyone know how i can do it? x

Im usally ok with computers but i cant seem to work this out .. unless i burn it onto another disk but i dont know if that would work either x

If you're using a DVD that you bought from a shop, then it'll be protected to stop people from editing it or pirating it. That's why it wont import into Movie Maker. Editing a copyrighted movie would be illegial.

you have to convert the dvd file to a type thats compatible with windows movie maker. use a program like xillisoft dvd ripper 4 or something. and then import it.

Ive given up now lol no matter how many sites i download off of, no matter how many times i try to convert things off of youtube none of it works lol but thanks for everybodys help xx

http://www.mediaconverter.org/
Once converted right click on 'download file' then save target as...
