If Starmer was more Tory I'd not be voting for Labour. I know that's nonsense however that he is. I even think he could surprise positively as PM if Labour wins this election. Ed Miliband was okay, I did and do like him. It's good he's part of Starmer's team. His mistakes however were 2 howlers. In the Independence referendum in Scotland, he made a massive error in standing on a platform surrounded by Cameron and Clegg. Scotland had supported Labour solidly and warranted a more independent view of the issue from Labour. Not seeing Miliband like Cameron's and Clegg's poodle on it Plus he too should have promised a referendum on the EU. I think he'd have saved hoards of previous votes had he done those 2 things better. |

Mp's generally aren't principled people, they are more like weather vanes, as evidenced by hard tories suddenly becoming labour members. Look at the major policies that have the most affect on how society runs, and you will see very little (if any at all) distance between labour and tories. These are long standing tory positions - it's not the blue rosettes who've moved closer to labour, so what's the saying about something walking like a duck and quacking like a duck?

Especially the Scotland one, as he really gave ground to the SNP the day that he stood with Cameron essentially.

I think I'm just hoping for a few things under Labour tbh. 1. Don't be worse than the Tories in terms of social policies. 2. At least have some traditional Labour policies come through, that I personally can get behind, like not privatizing the NHS. 3. Make sure to not put someone as PM that your own support base doesn't even want, let alone the general public.

And whoa! David Lammy could barely string a sentence together in that clip.
Does he think that he is Trump or Biden?

…yeah, I agree…that’s so off base and so off key because to just change party in such a way, for me…?…is they’re either not committed to any of the values and beliefs that they’ve led the public to believe that they’re committed to in acting for them…?..or they flip flop surface personalities that also doesn’t hold true to belief systems…just not people I would be inclined to put any faith in, whatever party they’re aligned to…it’s become more like a game or swapping about of job/department roles…crazy stuff… |

at the last election the tories purged all remainers from the party, and what we ended up with was a load of ukip mp's under the tory banner. This election should see most of them lose their seats, so perhaps proper tories will make a re-appearance at the 2029 election.
What i mean by this is that what Starmer has done is purge the labour party to his own image, and that will probably attract a few traditional tories into the labour party because they previously had no home, so what we will get in labour is some weird labour/tory hybrid, but it won't be the right wing ukip tories that are currently all over the tory party. To me, it's a good thing, but maybe that's just me |

Jeremy has no say in anything related to uk politics now, so if his local constituency want him what's the problem. His time is over influencing politics in the uk
