The Juries are also being political as well tbf.

If anything all the Juries did this year was stop Croatia winning, who didn't really get involved with this Israel situation on Eurovision openly either way.

There needs to be jury vote. Switzerland deserved to win. There is too many bigots around. You cannot rely on the public to make a fair assessment.

Brits have become extremely conservative. With the way they reacted to Olly's performance. They weren't even this bad in the Victorian era were boys wore skirts. All the flamboyance and angodony of the 70/80s and nobody batted an eyelid.

I feel like I don't get the point of the public voting, if an act that they placed 5th in the public vote goes on to win instead.

Whether the public were being possibly bigoted towards Switzerland's entry (which tbh it wouldn't shock me if some people were being hateful) I also personally believe that the public have the right to dislike a contestant on a TV Show for any reason that they like, even if I personally think that it's a ridiculous reason, it imo should be allowed.

The Juries "correcting" the results for acts that didn't even finish in the top 4 of the public vote is damaging to the brand long term imo.

Oh we're definitely in the 7th Heaven era of Entertainment again.

not the point though

that staging was a complete mismatch to the song

the staging gave me ''Full Monty'' - ''Magic Mike'' vibes, while the song gave me ''Thomas Anders album filler vibes, and very much filler, since Thomas has better synthpop songs in his recent album Cosmic Rider, Je Ne Sais Pas for example''

Juries did lots of things right

Germany a decent result, for a solid song and performance

marking Israel accordingly mid table for a unauthentic middle of road but not bad ballad

Switzerland indeed a very jurybait entry, and 5th in televote is good for the Swiss their usual standards tbh, they got last in televote with 0 points in 2022 and 2023 also wasn't liked that much that war message song from a privileged neutral country

think Belgium could've been a problem for Swiss, if they qualified but Mustii was just too alternative in his stage presence
