But I am just throwing suggestions out there, because after all Glenn isn't the only disillusioned member that we've got on here, because there's Liam, Jordan, Slim Reaper that also have concerns, and I do remember Daniel was another one that used to post on here about his concerns, but sadly doesn't post as much anymore.

Scarlett's more of a casual poster nowadays, and I don't know if she's taken an issue with anything on here.

Obviously I love TIBB (wartz and all,) but I do value all of these members (and Dezzy too, if we could find a way of getting him back) and I don't want any of them to be feeling like that they aren't welcome on here.

The beauty of the Forum is the differing views that we all have.

I'm all for people having their own opinions, but I know that some of us can be very blunt or forthright with our views, which might be seen as a bit much to some people? Especially lurkers who don't know any of us from Adam.

It's not really about bluntness or rudeness on the forum imo, it's more about asking why LGBTQ folks would want to remain and post on a forum that if not openly hostile to them, then is at best unbothered by those who are.

Why would PoC want to post on a site that constantly goes on about how violent black people are, or how all Muslims are rapists and terrorists?

After I made my posts earlier, a lot of replies in the thread were about the vibes, which I completely agree go up and down for everyone at different times. I wasn't talking about that, I was talking about why people have left.

I will add the qualifier that maybe stuff has happened behind the scenes that none of us know, and maybe that would provide some answers.

It doesn’t feel very welcoming on here. Not like it used to. You only have to see the replies to my very on topic response on this thread by certain members.

Mine isn't really disillusionment, because I just come and go as i please, but my posts in this thread have all been in relation to Kate asking if the site was going to close because of costs, so I've pointed out from a business perspective why surrendering over half your customers for a few folks with reactionary views, is a really bad strategy.

You asked for opinions, and people have varying opinions, 10 people (and Zizu) have said they wouldn’t pay, not just Glenn, he’s as entitled to an opinion as the rest of you.

My opinion is along the lines of Glenn’s, but also very similar to Slim’s, I barely post as it is, it used to feel like a big community, and it’s lost that feel a lot, this days it’s a smaller one. (Due to various reasons, some that have been covered, but not exclusive to that)

I used to play a lot of the games, and there’d always be different casts, whereas now every game seems to be exactly the same people playing, so I’m never really inspired to sign up to any of them, or to post much.

I know after posting the other week, a few people said it’s nice to see me around, I’ve not left, I’ve been on the forum most days, I just don’t see any topics I want to interact with, and I know that I could make one, but I’m also not hugely inspired to do that either, so I wouldn’t pay for it.

Whilst I have made some very good friendships off this website, I speak to almost all of them on a different platform now, it’s only really Ammi that I message on here. (And even then, when she left the forum I spoke to her elsewhere)

Admittedly we probably do have a bit of a hyper-focus as a Forum towards negative stories about the Transgender community and Muslims.

Being fair about the black community issue, I've probably been the only member on here that's been guilty of that, with the Assassin's Creed discussion that we have both debated about recently, so I don't know if I would call that a Forum wide issue tbf to the other members.
