Ironically this could all happen with Labour getting fewer votes than they did in 2017
the pollsters have got next to no idea how its going to turn out. There are a huge number of undecided voters who would probably vote tory normally and they may revert to tory or just not bother voting which is why it could go to a hung parliament. It's also possible that the tories could be down to between 50 and 200 seats which is a pretty meaningless prediction, i've never seen anything like it before
