…also, haven’t Trump’s tariffs just been declared illegal by a US court so that’s not good business for Musk to be associated with…

Special government positions are time limited and that time runs out at the end of May.

Even if there was a pre-determined departure date, I doubt anyone thought their egos would be able to co-exist for long.
