Whatever you call him, he's culturally Welsh, and he's Catholic.

So it sounds like the only problem with him is what he looks like?

Vaughan Gething loses vote of no confidence

[First Minister Vaughan Gething has lost
a vote of no confidence in his leadership
in the Welsh Parliament.

After a tense and passionate debate in the
chamber, 29 Senedd members voted in favour
of the resolution, while 27 voted against.

Opposition parties immediately called on
Mr Gething to resign,
which he is not obliged to do as the
result is not binding.

But the vote places him under additional
pressure after weeks of criticism.

The Senedd vote was called by the
Conservatives over donations made to
Mr Gething’s leadership campaign by
a company owned by a man previously
convicted of environmental offences.

There are 60 members
of the Welsh Parliament - Labour holds exactly half
of the seats with 30 members, while there are
16 Tories, 13 Plaid Cymru members and
a solitary Liberal Democrat.]

Thumbs down

The Welsh parliament have passed a bill that FORCES diverse election candidates and
gives taxpayer MONEY to ethnic minorities and those with 'protected characteristics'.

The Elections and Elected Bodies (Wales) Bill was passed last week.

So no more meritocracy

[Four Welsh ministers have quit the Government
in protest against First Minister Vaughan Gething’s
leadership, telling him they cannot get on
with the job “without you standing down”.

Mick Antoniw, Julie James, Lesley Griffiths and
Jeremy Miles resigned on Tuesday morning,
posting separate letters on social media
in which they called for Mr Gething to go.]

Thumbs down

This is so typical of the nasty "progressive" left

Vaughan Gething refused to shake Welsh Conservative leader's hand

The leader of the Welsh Conservatives claimed Vaughan Gething had refused
to shake his hand today after he offered the First Minister his best wishes
following his resignation.

Andrew RT Davies told the Senedd during questions to the First Minister this
afternoon: “First Minister, in 17 years that I have been in this institution I
don’t think you and I have ever shared a lift. This morning, the doors opened
and you were standing there.

“I stretched out my hand to shake your hand and wish you all the best for
the future. Sadly you declined that hand. I do as I stand here wish you and
your family all the very best.”

Thumbs down plays race card....

The Welsh leader made a reference to his race when announcing his
resignation, hinting that he has been targetted because of his skin color-
despite being pressured to resign over his role in several scandals.

“To those in Wales who look like me, many of whom I know feel personally
bruised and worried by this moment, I know that our country can be better. I
know that cannot happen without us.”

British PM Sir Keir Starmer also made reference to his race saying he should
“take enormous pride in being the first black leader of any country in Europe.”

Vaughan Gething quit after several controversies including; receiving a
£200,000 campaign donation from a man convicted of environmental
offenses, as well as his role in the deletion of sensitive messages during the
pandemic.
