…surely the thing is to stop watching in any and all capacities, not just to stop paying…not paying but still watching at all, to me just gives the message that something worthy of the cost is still being given…a complete boycott/shunning/avoidance would/could be the only way that would bring about any significant change…in my thoughts, anyway…don’t pay/don’t watch/do both…

I stopped paying in July last year but I also stopped watching tv so I’m totally legal

The letters started coming reminders then more threatening ones
Then ones telling me I was going to get visit
I had two visits one when I was not at home and one when I was still in bed looked out the window saw a tv goon but left him standing on the door step for ten minutes didn’t answer the door

Since then I’ve had no letters or visits

More Good Staff to be Sacked

[The BBC has announced its
latest round of job cuts,
involving a net reduction of
130 roles across news
and current affairs departments,

as part of a wider cost-cutting drive.

The chief executive of BBC News,
Deborah Turness, announced the changes
in an email on Tuesday,
saying the corporation sought to cut 185 roles
and open 55 new ones with the aim of saving
£24m, amounting to 4% of the
current news budget.

The BBC’s long-running world affairs
news programme HARDtalk and
the BBC Asian Network’s bespoke
news service will be axed.

broadcaster also said it would synchronise the
production of news bulletins
used on Radio 5 Live and Radio 2 and
domestic radio
would take summaries from
the World Service.]

[The plans announced today will also see
HARDtalk close by March 2025]

[“The BBC talks about diversity, representation
and underserved audiences. We tick all of
those boxes,” Raj Kaur Bilkhu, a former senior
journalist at BBC Asian Network News, said.
"I’m angry and upset for the audience." ]

[The cuts are part of broader efforts by the
broadcaster to cut 500 jobs across the
corporation by March 2026.

Three former and current employees
at BBC Asian Network criticised the
removal of its bespoke news service,
telling the Guardian the decision was
a disservice to the BBC’s audiences.
As part of the changes, the network will
instead begin airing Newsbeat bulletins
which are used on Radio 1 and 1Xtra.]

Sacked by BBC after 15 years

That will save the BBC Cash

Her talking to the Robot that wants her job

[Martin Lewis's wife Lara Lewington has
confirmed that her BBC show Click
has been pulled from screens after
15 years - and fans are not happy

The TV star and tech expert, 45, shared the news
with viewers who responded with an
