I definitely agree that the public tend to have extreme love or hate reactions to housemates, and then either defend or criticise everything they do and say accordingly. I guess some people like to watch it that way, and I do think that the producers play into that viewing style.
I like to remember that housemates are complex human beings, and prefer to accept that they all have positive and negative qualities, so it’s okay to admire the good in them, as well as acknowledging their flaws. It’s also okay to adapt and adjust our views as housemates reveal more of their characteristics, just as in real life we might do with people as we get to know them better.

I 100% agree with you.
Some people treat these contestants like they're your favourite Sports team, rather than judging them based on all facets of their personality.
Tbf I used to be really bad for doing that as well, but I am trying to not be like that this series.
