It’s also only based on 2279 people voting…

Scottish Conservative councillor defects to Reform

[The Scottish Conservative group leader on
Glasgow City Council has defected to Reform UK.

Thomas Kerr, who represents the Shettleston ward,
was first elected as a 20-year-old in 2017
and became Tory group leader in 2019.

He was the party's candidate at the
Rutherglen and Hamilton West by-election
in October 2023, but finished a distant third.

Kerr said he had been "annoyed and angry"
with the Conservatives for several months,
accusing the party of failing to
champion working-class communities
like those in Shettleston.

He said the Tories focused too much
on criticism of the SNP and "lacked a positive
vision of centre-right conservatism".

The councillor also suggested
Scottish Conservative leader
Russell Findlay was not in control
of the "broken" party.

Reform UK will hold the "largest ever rally in modern British political history" in just under two months' time, Nigel Farage has said.

Thousands of supporters, candidates, party top brass and more will head to the Arena Birmingham on March 28 - and Farage has vowed that "we are only just getting started".

"Reform has all the momentum in British politics and we are only just getting started," the party leader said.

On Tuesday Reform held a fundraising event this week at Oswald’s, the private members’ club in Mayfair, where seats at the top table went for Ł25,000 a ticket.

It was attended by Mohamed Amersi and Bassim Haidar, two major Conservative donors.

Nick Candy, the billionaire property mogul and ex-Tory donor who is now the Reform treasurer, helped compčre.

No duh. With both major parties seeming useless, especially for the working class, why wouldn't people turn elsewhere?

Right....they are handing Reform an open ticket by once again not addressing key issues.... I despair, I really do

They literally handed reform thousands of votes by doing over the pensioners....the people who actually vote.... they are thick as pig muck

However to assess the accuracy of this single poll in any way, we'd need to know where it was shared. If it was only shared on this sort of X account in the first place, it's meaningless because it will disproportionately have reached a certain audience.

WHen are people actually going to properly wake up though? People voted out the Tories are voted in Labour because we're all desperate for some sort of meaningful change. What change has occurred? Absolutely fck all.

So now people are genuinely turning to Reform, thinking "Aha, this is who will REALLY make a meaningful change!"

But let's face it, if Reform was to sweep the board and come into power in 4 years time, what would realistically change in any meaningful way? Most likely, fck all again. The promises will come to absolutely nothing, just the same as Labour's.

All smoke and mirrors IMO.
