my argument is simply that politics is never kept out of anything that is supposed to be above politics. Think the olympics, football, eurovision etc etc etc .... politics always drives decisions and its not a new thing. The olympics was politicised by Hitler way back at the 2nd world war. Then the usa refused to go, russia refused to go, there was a terrorist attack .... it's had all sorts. Look at eurovision voting and it has always been political. Look at football and their taking the knee and the reaction to it being held in qatar. Politics invades everything
