Default Conservative Robert Jenrick MP went up to Fare Dodgers in the London Tube

He had no Stab Vest on.

He is taking a chance.

[The shadow justice secretary shared footage
of approaching three men at Stratford station
in an attempt to show the extent of
lawbreaking in the capital
]

This makes the Labour Mayor look bad.

Well his government removed ticket inspection being done by cuts.

Hasn't fare dodging been a thing for decades however.
I'm sure he had security with him but really, he was taking risks there.

How many did he actually find in total out of all those travelling on it though who actually were fare dodging?

I'm all for law-breakers being called out, but the only victim here is TFL. Who cares?

In the station he filmed in,
There were 8 Ticket Enforcement Officers,
He managed to take one fare dodger to some of them.

That clip was on Ch5HDAM Live
when Jenrick MP went into the studio
to take questions.

I think the taxpayer has had to bail out TFL just recently?

there will always be fare dodgers. You spend more and more money to catch less and less people. It's simple economics not to go after the bottom of the barrel

The staff are obviously lazy and need sacking. He was very brave, I think.

Surely Labour should be sorting that out, with increased and better policing. If only they wernt so spasticated.

Thumbs up

All you need to know about why Britain is where it is:

A member of parliament filmed dozens of people breaking the law and dodging
fares on the Tube and the response from loads of people in the media and
politics is to...attack him.

These people have lost the plot.

People are always gonna fare dodge on trains regardless of whether the stations have barriers or not too. It sounds bad but it’s kinda easy to do. For example a good amount of DLR stations don’t even have barriers. I used to travel to East London all the time for work and I can’t count the amount of times I see people just walking on the DLR trains and not paying.
