A little comical after how many years they've spent slagging City off for buying the title but I guess that's the way the league works now. Fair play with the signings they've chosen, they're guaranteed another relatively easy trophy or two (or three). I do think a couple of those are a little overpriced though (Wirtz, Leoni), but then some seem like steals (Guehi, Ekitike)

This window maybe ( though City , Arsenal , ManU and Chelsea have all spent huge amounts)

That said … Liverpool didn’t spend much at all ( if anything) in the last two windows

They look to be in a gimp position.

Even when playing badly they're still winning, which is something that only the best teams pull off.

transfer fees really aren't the limiting factor when it comes to bringing new players in. The limiting factors are, are they playing in europe (because the finance rules are stricter playing in europe) is their revenue large enough to afford the wage bill they have. Newcastle may have cash rich owners, but the club has crap revenue potential, same applies to aston villa. So they end up hamstrung in the transfer market. All liverpool have to do is make sure the wage bill of incoming players is an affordable % of their revenue and they are good to go.

Man U have kept their world wide revenue because its a big money machine, but their wage bill has been slashed by 33% because they didn't qualify for europe. That's why its easier to loan players out too, they are now more affordable
