I also wondered, as it’s a music festival (not a song contest) could music only content be submitted (as some countries have great traditional music).

…yeah, I think that would be a lovely idea to expand it out actually, as it is a festival of music, which also in essence will celebrate country traditions through their music artists…

Traditional music is greatly appreciated.

Interestingly enough, I've tried in the past with the idea of doing TiBBMF in the style of Sanremo, with multiple categories, but only 1 category of songs being scored. It was confusing for people, which is why I've continued doing it like Eurovision.

…this is a great new release from an artist that I entered in a previous edition…I think for those artists/songs that aren't well known and who are being introduced in this song festival…?…we can’t underestimate the impact and boost and influence to their careers that we’re making…

I now have the results from the first edition, and all videos from the eighth edition onwards on a quietly rebranded Tibbplay; so now we can relive all the moments from those past editions.

And to make things a bit more fun, I am deciding that due to the number of countries (33), I will be adding two more qualifiers to the final.

This means that there will be 22 countries in the final (Big 6 + 16 qualifiers), meaning 11 countries will not qualify, and not 13 like previously planned.

I remember putting together the video, and I was just awestruck at how close the final points were.

And rewatching the 13th edition, it still amazes me that it wasn't until France voted that Scotland got its first points. The US didn't take the lead until Sweden gave its points.
