He wasn't quit opera, not quite Rock-Opera. I could place him. I could see him selling albums, but could see him getting number 1 singles. Same Difference were good, but their voices IMO where not great.
IMO Leon deserved to win. He never had any singing lessons before his audition, and managed to go the whole show never being in the Bottom 2. He wowed people like Celine Dion, Michael Buble, Cheryl Cole - along with each of the judges at some point during the show. He has the voice - okay, maybe not the moves, but he can work on that.

I think Leon sent out the wrong message. Some people will work all their lives to try and get somewhere and never do. After Leon winning, there will be loads of people now just thinking "oh I can do that to" and have no practice and just turn up for the audition without practicing just expecting to get in.

True.
I think Leon winning was a joke. He simply does not have the natural ability to have any kind of longevity in the music business. As for Leon not having any prior training? Why does that matter? Carrie Underwood had no trainig prior to winning American Idol 4 but she was outstanding every week of the finals. For me Leon gave no more than two decent - and I dont mean good or great I mean no more than decent - performances throughout the competition. He was rubbish in the first few weeks and was only kept in because the public felt sorry for him.
I'm a fan of the Votefortheworst.com websit (Checkout my banner). I reckon that if we had a similar thing for x_factor they'd have latched on to Leon very quickly and would have claimed his victory was a disaster for the integrity of the show. I, for one, would agree.

There are always exceptions like Carrie Underwood but the vast majority of people who have no prior training or experience will go in and do badly, and Leon did just that. If people think they can do that and win then the standard is going to continue to drop and drop and X Factor will turn into a bigger joke than it already is.
I don't think he should have got past bootcamp. His mouth looks awkward when hes singing, his voice is very monotonous and I think when he releases later this year he won't last long in the charts. His second single will probably do well just for the novelty etc but after that I predict he will just bomb out of the charts.
