Yes if you have a car that is over a certain age and you drive into London you are charged 12.50 or 100 for a lorry/coach ...charging people apparently makes the air cleaner

I'm a bit in two minds about this - in principle, why should people get a living handed to them when they're opting out of work by choice rather than circumstance? "Crap" jobs aren't beneath anyone, much less anyone who's been a NEET for ages.

I hope that Starmer isn't secretly a TIBB member, because he might take inspiration from this post.

it should be about providing an incentive to work, but there are a lot of people, not just the youth, who just can't be arsed working anymore. It was already a big problem and then covid came along and made it 10 times worse. There has to be a cut off point somewhere

the dark side about it is not everyone could be qualifed for the more jobs depending on what it is like for examples not all of us in this forums could be qualifed to work behind the scenes at the many big brother studios or another example not all of us in this forums could all be a cast member of all the big brother shows

That's another big issue in society.

Needing to go to a University to get a qualification for every well paid job that people dream about getting.

Like for example, you shouldn't need to get a degree in bloody creative writing.

A new runway planned for Heathrow, so even more planes taking off and landing over Hounslow... where you have to pay to drive your car because of emissions. Honestly, you couldn't make this stuff up......

Again I don't understand for Chefs.

If you can cook food at a decent level, you don't need a degree to tell people that imo.

It's society trying to make it harder for the working class to move up the ladder.

Is it still Jobseeker's Allowance? Because part of receiving that is the agreement that you're looking for work. Or are there benefits you can claim now without having to seek employment?

I think it's Universal Credit across the board, but some people get the extra disability components, and this may or may not cancel out the job seeking obligations.
