Sadly, my Bizarre side crashed out of the Celebrity Soccer Six tournament in the semi-final to the eventual winners FAITHLESS.

We had a good start in the group stage, convincingly beating rockers THE AUTOMATIC 2-1.

Next up was the grudge match with PETE DOHERTY’S BABYSHAMBLES, the winners of last year's event.

And despite him bringing along some ringers and a minger, in AMY WINEHOUSE, the fiercely-contested game ended in a 1-1 draw.

Luckily, Pete didn’t live up to his threat to “snap Smart in half” but did throw mud at us as we stood pitchside, together with some extremely crude insults.

An easy 3-1 win over Virgin Radio got us into the quarter final, where we triumphed over crowd favourites McFLY 2-0.

But despite the best efforts of my star man, singer/songwriter JERSEY BUDD, and top scorer ROB HARVEY of THE MUSIC (three goals in three games), we crashed to Faithless - after a stirling performance by ex Manchester City star NICKY SUMERBEE - in the semi, going down 3-1.

Luckily, the dance outfit then beat Babyshambles in the final.

Other stand out players on the day included former Big Brother winner ANTHONY HUTTON, Hours star ANTONY GEMM and former footie pro's NEVILLE SOUTHALL, DEAN SAUNDERS and MICHAEL THOMAS.

In the Ladies tournament, CSS eventually triumped over Six Chicks after a 1-1 draw in the final forced a penalty shoot out. Singer REMI NICOLE was undoutedly the best player of the day.

A Sun features side also beat an EastEnders outfit 1-0 in a match in aid of SARAH BROWN’s PiggyBank-Kids charity.

The Walford team included CHARLIE CLEMENTS and JAKE WOOD, aka Bradley and Max Branning.

McFly star HARRY JUDD said he was honoured to be playing in the same team as former Wales international dean Saunders. "I'm a fan," he said excitedly. "He's still got an amazing touch."

NOEL FIELDING was unfortunately a no-show for the Comedy team.

Strictly Come Dancing lothario BRENDAN COLE was frequently spotted hogging the touchline during the womens' matches. When asked about the talent, he replied: "It's good. I'm loving it." He was also later overheard telling a fan he had a six inch willy!

PIXIE GELDOF may not have made the final line-up but she still cheered on pals CSS from the sideline. "I love football and I'm disappointed not to be playing but thought I'd come down to cheer on my team. Remi's my girl. They kick as*."

Remi Nicole was overheard saying she wanted to give BIANCA GASCOIGNE as slap after a bad tackle by GAZZA's daughter.

Image conscious AISLEYNE HORGAN-WALLACE slashed her football shirt down the front to expose her giant fake boobs.

Fomer Darkness star JUSTIN HAWKINS said the female talent was 'premiere' in the looks department but not so hot in the skill sector. He also said he was disappointed not to make my Bizarre team.

Amy Winehouse grumpily told a fan to 'get lost' after getting her boob groped.

After shunning requests for autographs and pictures at the beginning of the tournament, Pete Doherty later made a fan called Laura's day by getting his guitar out and dedicating a song to her.

Big Brother 07 star LIAM McGOUGH put in a solid display for the Reality team. While taking a breather he told me he's excited about getting involved with Big Brother 2008 as a roving reporter. He's also going to DJ in Manumission in Ibiza this summer. He said he fully intends to go back to his job as a tree surgeon once his year of fame is over.

Big Brother 07 winner BRIAN BELO was caught oggling Bianca Gascoigne. "She's gorgeous but we're just best mates. I'm in heaven here surrounded by lots of beautiful women in shorts."

BB7 hunk ZIGGY LICHMAN said he was disappointed he couldn't play after breaking a rib while training for Cage Rage.

Spritely BB7 twins SAMANDA admitted they wished their red CSS football kit was pink.

JADE GOODY had a horrendous day, hardly putting a foot right and losing three consecutive matches. "It's not been good. We didn't put in the training", she said despite being supported by ex boyfriends JACK TWEED and JEFF BRAZIER.

Big Brother gurner NIKKI GRAHAME threw one of her usual strops after her side - captained by former LIBERTY X singer MICHELLE HEATON - lost out to Six Chicks in the semi-final .. "I'm a very bad loser," she said.

Former Big Brother 'stars' MIKEY DALTON and GRACE ADAMS-SHORT were told to get a room after snogging each other's faces off in between matches.
