Default Article in the Scotsman

I spotted this article from the 'Sctosman' online which I thought was quite interesting. It talks about Sandy's escape and the other rebellions that are evident in the house at the moment.

One quote from Dr Cynthia McVey in the article is probably wooryingly true. Speaking of the BB producers she says:

"They will be ecstatic. It gets people talking about the show and that is exactly what they want."

Despite the defection of Sandy and Sunita, the third series of Big Brother has been a ratings success. The eight shows last week averaged 4.3 million viewers, an increase of 12 per cent on the same period of the second series shown last year, which attracted 3.8 million viewers.
Does this mean, as I suspect the producers are impervious to our complaints ?

Must be, because focus groups are always right !!!

As far as i'm concerned, Big Brother is an "over 18's" program.
People under 18 shouldn't watch it, if they do, they are bound to hear words
like "house *****", "slut", "annoying", "piss-off", "****" etc.
If you are so concerned about your children hearing other people swearing,
then don't let them watch Big Brother. It is a crime to allow people under
18 to watch Big Brother. As this is a Big Brother board, there should be
nobody under the age of 18 here, which means that I should be able to swear
without being banned again. Otherwise, I will be seeking legal advise.

thank you.
