The Divide (2011), about a group of apartment tenants who take refuge in the bomb shelter of the building's slightly unhinged superintendent. What follows is your classic tale of man's inhumanity to man slowly taking shape amongst the group, with deceit, rape, murder occurring. An underrated movie but so soul destroying. All that being said, here it is in full on YT in middling quality and with foreign language subs.

Sinners sex scenes were really uncomfortable viewing imo.

In terms of uncomfortable - For me it’s anything with slashing wrists/veins (and similar). I can watch all kinds of horror/gore and not be phased. But as soon as it comes to anything wrist, tendons or veins makes me implode into the fetal position.

Examples being ‘House of Wax’ with his Achilles heel, and ‘Nightmare on Elm Street 3’ the puppet scene.

In terms of anything else, I can’t think of anything off the top of my head (but there are some).

Isn't the Achilles slashing in Hostel alot worse than House Of Wax?. I actually liked House of wax ,was better than I thought it would be . I honestly don't think I have the patience to sit through The Hostel movies, I've seen enough clips that has put me off .

If you're talking about the original chainsaw Massacre from the 1970's , that's probably why it's so effective. The hook scene feels more graphic than it actually is. I guess it's like the Psycho situation in the shower , implied violence is very strong. Horrific deaths but they're nowhere near as gratuitous as our minds think.

Nowadays there's so much OTT gore and it's always to gross us out or shock us for the sake of it.

Hostel is a very wholesome Film.
