Aside-from Green Onions and Walk My Walk as happy-inducing tunes, we’re living in a season (partly owing to festive tings) where love for pomegranate and cranberries is being bounced back to us. Both phenomenal fruits, very-much my thang and groove at the moment, and drowned in Greek Yoghurt (for a healthy stomach), it just echoes back to me that we’re all living the same lives, really. Very unique individually but also very similar in certain fundamental ways. And that’s worthy of a little smile.

It was an impromptu one born out of frustration, too. The best kind.

The particular clap-rhythm your Ghanaian Sunday-school teacher brought to the U.K. from over-there finding a way into your nephew’s dexterity-palette, on your initiation and hand-to-hand.

BBQ/garden-parties in the affluent corners of Halewood (a town adjacent to Liverpool; basically is Liverpool as far as I’m concerned) in the summer is another one. Put a bit of Flo-Rida on and it gives off very distinct 2002/2009 vibes. Maybe after a day spent at Garston’s leisure-centre, swimming at the level of depth yo.-comfortable with and going down the water-slide until you get bored, recreating Cyprus from Merseyside/Knowsley. It’s very-much smile-worthy.

Aspirational, too, really, if you’re actually trying to buy a house that your cousin’s cosmetic/dermatologic surgeon dad was able to afford, cue the 90s/00s aesthetic (double-garage, bling-golden spring-hue, scented candles, red-brick clusters, subtle pine-scents, Auntie Tina’s supplementary maple-glazed cookies) that might-as-well be in DeKalb County suburbs around Atlanta. suburban aspirational aesthetics in a Liverpool-meets-Atlanta kind of way.

When someone says “twenty-[…] instead of “two-thousand and […]” when talking about any year after ’09. “Two-thousand and twenty-four” just sounds so, so wrong and unnecessarily clunky. Why would you choose to call it like that?

My thing is there just can’t be any salad on mine, but I feel that way about burgers, too. If I want salad, I’ll buy a salad. I don’t really need my kebabs and burgers dripping with unnecessary lettuce. I only like cabbage.

Yeah, I love vegetables, from all corners of the world. Just not certain ones (cucumber, lettuce and, since ’tis the season, brussel-sprouts). Not overly keen on peas, either. Especially when they’re made into mushy peas. Yuck.

I love Mushy Peas.

I'm not a big lover of Celery tbh.
