I'd go further than banning Labour MPs. Labour supporters wouldn't be welcome in my pub. For a start they're a dwindling band. Secondly, they find excuses for every questionable decision this government makes, and thirdly, they're rude, sneering, obnoxious and quite joyless.

Free speech, as long as everyone thinks like you. Funny that.
Banning people from a pub for their politics while calling them rude and joyless is peak irony.

If your views cannot survive a pint with someone who disagrees, that says more about you than them.
It is a pub. Not your personal echo chamber.

given that they are elected labour mp's probably in their own constituency, the majority of punters and pub staff will be labour voters, so i don't believe they will have a problem getting served

Comments on other media and even on here by some are absolutely despicable.
If they had pubs OR in fact any business with their thinking, and I knew who they were, I'd be happy to never even think of giving the discriminative lot a single pence from me.
I wouldn't even want to have any associatiion with such people.
Absolutely VILE.

I mean there's only 400 Labour MPs so it's not going to do pubs any real damage by denying them business - it's just a symbolic gesture. Think people would understand more if they were breaking their backs running a pub and continuously being bled dry by the government to cover for their own mistakes and inept handling of the economy

It's also not unusual for lots of pubs to have political leanings, half the ones in Bristol are decked out with Palestine flags and '**** the Tories' posters etc. Not sure why we're now wringing our hands over Labour MPs not being welcome in some pubs

I would never open a business where the government could out of their way to bleed you dry then be applauded by their supporters.

No matter who the targets were.

I'd actually now hope these particular pubs go under actually.
They're either in business as PUBLIC houses or they aren't.
That's understandable tbh.

Personally I do understand where the Pub's are coming from, Labour unfortunately just aren't doing a good job at supporting their industry.

Tbh, I think it's more that Starmer's scum than Labour itself.

And I doubt that any other party would be doing anything different to these Pubs tbf.

Well yes they have in a way as they are supporting what Labour is doing, grinding us all into the ground like dirt.

I completely support this banning, feelings run high and rightly so. They are allowed an opinion and the right to refuse any customer they want.
