![]() Loads of MP's there including Kemi Reform UK Danny Kruger Looks like PM Starmer will allow it, next week. There are many underground rooms which some local Chinese folk fear they could be dragged into. ![]() [Bobby Dean, the Liberal Democrat MP for Carshalton, has described the site of the proposed new embassy as “a giant diplomatic gift to China”. “If you look at China’s track record of espionage and their intent across Britain so far, it makes sense that they will try to tap into our physical infrastructure here as well,” he continued. “I think we need to be much tougher towards them. I think that’s what they respect. I don’t think China will look at all of our deference towards them and give us a better trade deal as a result. “And the story in The Telegraph this week has revealed just how close that they’ll be able to get with their plans. That is really, really concerning.”] https://www.telegraph.co.uk/news/202...mbassy-london/ Last edited by arista; Yesterday at 03:15 PM. |

One of the most questionable decisions Kier has made and one that will come back to bite us all on the bum if it goes ahead. Politicians generally don't have a great track record when it comes to taking notice of protests, though. Not since the poll tax riots.
