This marks a significant departure from long-established guidance designed to uphold constitutional limits on government searches.

The directive permits ICE agents to use force to gain entry to a home based solely on a more limited administrative warrant, specifically to arrest individuals with a final order of removal. This move, say advocates, directly conflicts with Fourth Amendment protections and overturns years of advice given to immigrant communities regarding their rights.

Would be so nice if our legislative branch would actually govern so we didn't have to rely on magical courts and "precedent" to set restrictions on things like this. Unfortunately "years of advice" does not count as law.

Probably their logic is since it's dealing with non-citizens, 4th amendment need not apply. Also, it being a Final Order, there is no further legal recourse for that person other than deportation. It's a problem because this breach could be used to get access to anyone's home, not just non-citizen.
