You’re not being realistic here, you’re just spiralling.

People don’t flee places like Afghanistan or Pakistan for a laugh. They flee because those places are violent, corrupt and unsafe. That’s literally what asylum is for. Acting like that’s some unknowable mystery just makes you look like you’re pretending not to understand.

No one said rape doesn’t matter because it happens anyway. That’s something you’ve invented. Pointing out that crime existed before migrants isn’t dismissing victims, it’s saying blaming migrants doesn’t stop crime. It just gives you a convenient group to aim at.

And this sudden concern for women and kids is hard to take seriously when it only shows up when migrants are mentioned. Female migrants and their children are some of the most abused people going, but they don’t seem to count as victims in your world unless they’re useful for the argument.

The they’ll come for gay people next line is just scare-story nonsense. Plenty of migrants are gay themselves and fled those countries because of it. Meanwhile, homophobia here didn’t arrive recently, it’s been home-grown for decades.

At this point you’re not talking about safety or facts. You’re just throwing scary ideas around and hoping they justify what you already believe. Fear is doing all the work.
