I watched the BBC's Lord of the Flies. Apart from the blind casting (the boys were from an English boarding school in the 50s but of course, being the BBC, it looked more like a United Nations convention), I thought it was pretty well done. The kid who played Piggy was a brilliant little actor. 8.5/10

Way too slow and up itself

Watched 10 year anniversary of germany bake off yesterday first episode, the celebrity version

Some stunning showstoppers tbh, former footballer Thomas Helmer with a football cake tribute to euro 1996 which germany won with 2-1

Rene Casselly with a circus cake, those chocolate elephants were very well made, so detailed

I don't think you're going to like me saying that Severance is one of the better American Shows currently then.

Because everything that you've attached to Severance is even worse in most of America's other Shows that I've seen over the last five years.

…give it a little watch if you have, I’d be interested in your thoughts…..New Zealand/Australian series are generally my thing, I like the humour vibe of them…they don’t take themselves too seriously ……

I did like Power Rangers when I was a kid, so maybe I should give New Zealand TV more of a shot.

Especially as I am craving more lighthearted TV Shows at the minute.

Taboo. Stars Tom Hardy, Stephen Graham, Mark Gatiss, Oona Chaplin, Jessie Buckley, Jonathan Pryce, a whole host of brilliant actors. Set in 1814, a man returns to London to claim his inheritance following his father's death and ends up at odds with the East India Company, the Crown and the newly formed United States of America. I really only watched it because Tom Hardy's in it, but it's brilliant. 3 episodes to go, it's been really addictive. 10/10.

Edit: Just finished the eighth and last episode. Really enjoyed it. Still a 10/10.

Love him in Peaky Blinders , The Krays ( he plays both ) and the MadMax movie and he’s amazing in the mini series The Take !!

I don't know The Take but will definitely look it out. I love everything he does. I would cheat on my husband for Tom Hardy. My husband has the same arrangement for country singer Kacey Musgraves lol...

Charlotte Riley, who's in The Take, I see, is his wife, you know. They met on Peaky Blinders. She was the posh one who had the fling with Tommy Shelby.

Kasey Musgraves is actually fantastic

Gorgeous looking lady and her last two albums are amazing ..

I was shocked to learn that she sometimes writes songs under the influence of ‘mushrooms’ and something else that opens the creative channels ..

Been rewatching the Alec Guinness version of Tinker, Tailor, Soldier, Spy. Vastly superior to the movie version, of course. I love our British understated take on the spy genre, with its emphasis on the increasing mediocrity, decrepitude and rot of relatively early post-Empire Britain.
