You’re wrong. People in this thread do lump all trans people together. When every bad story about a trans person gets dumped into a thread called Trans Issues, it stops being about individuals and starts painting the whole group in a negative light.

I never said anyone was perfect. I said that grouping crimes under an identity thread just because the person is trans encourages generalising. That’s basic context.

And let’s not pretend the tone in any thread about trans people is neutral. Openly transphobic comments are regularly left and barely challenged. So yes, the way it’s structured and moderated does contribute to tarnishing an entire community, whether that’s the intention or not.

I don't think anyone can deny that people going through the transition process have experienced mental health/trauma issues along the way. Exactly the type of thing that can make them a danger to the public. If the cap fits .....
