Default Fawlty Towers play coming to a town near you !

I actually hate this concept .,

Loved the original show which you can watch whenever you want still

I heard an excerpt on the radio yesterday and the individual voices weren’t even close - for example I thought that anyone can do a good Manuel imitation but seemingly not

I have no idea who or why this would be popular

It's a strange concept because the show is so closely associated with the actors who originally played the roles. The same with Only Fools and Horses. I see Paul Whitehouse played Grandad, and I do love him... but it just won't be the same without the original cast, I reckon.

I couldn’t recognise any of the characters from the radio clip

An example

Paul Nicholas, renowned for his 1980s heartthrob roles, stars as the bumbling Major Gowan in the stage adaptation of Fawlty Towers

Fawlty towers was a show of it's time. When i heard they were remaking it, i knew i wouldn't like it because the humour that was available then wouldnt be allowed today
