So they had trouble opening the lock to the gate in the bars in the house.
Hmmm suppose there had been some kind of emergency, (Like when Kate nearly drowned) and they needed to get through the bars. The problem they had with the lock could have meant the difference between life and death. Where is the concept of Duty of Care ???? Any chance their local council could be asked to take a visit to see if it is safe for the bars to remain ? Anyone got their contact details ? ![]() ![]() |

Never thought of that what a risk
They would have had a practice run and should have got a bigger lock ![]() ![]() ![]() |

You have a very good point there, Sticks.
Those gates had obviously not been tested properly. ![]() |

It does show a basic lack of preparedness totally in keeping with the general state of things. However, sorry to p*ss on your fireworks though. They did have the patio doors to evacuate from in case of fire at least.
I do wish Spencer had taken the opportunity to swing a chair at the "glass" bars, if only to see how many he could take out with one swipe!!!! |

Thing is, Splodge0, that if a fire had been near the door, bearing in mind that the poor side only has one small door to get through, that could not have been the escape.

If that was true, none of the bedrooms would pass muster.........

There are doors to the camera runs etc at the back of both of the bedrooms, presumably these would be opened and the housemates could also get out through there.

What also seems to have been missed with this topic !
Lee when he was evicted passed through the bars to give the poor side hugs and kisses so in an emergency they all could do so as they did when the lock couldnt be opened for the task! |

Doh! Of course - you're absolutely right, Paul!
![]() The bars obviously have quite a bit of bend to them and if Lee could get through, it would be a dawdle for the rest of them. ![]() There you go, Sticks - panic over! ![]() ![]() ![]() |

Sadly nothing spreads fire like an enclosed tunnel. The fire would rip through the tunnel runs like a cat on heat.
Although the only REAL fire escape is the through the patio doors and over the fence. Going through passageways to escape a fire is ridiculous. and the fence outside is waist height so that's not a problem. Seriously guys always use the closest exit to OUTDOORS!!!!! |
