Yep, she led him along and made him think he was in with a chance. Now she's made her bed, and she's got to lie in it (no pun intended). She doesn't want to get any closer to him, but she probably knows that if she makes it clear that she's not interested, she will lose popularity both in and out of the house. Serves her right - her scheming has backfired!
