Default Well after all that......

Even though I enjoyed attending the ‘Think TV’ debate, I was quite disappointed that I didn’t get chance to speak. After all the phones calls from C4 to me about what my views were and would I like to question the panel, I didn't get the chance to talk at all.

There were about 20 of us who were taken aside when we got there and primed for asking the panel questions. We were taken in first and sat down in named seats so that if we did speak the cameraman would know where we were. In the end none of us got an opportunity, the only contributors from the audience where ‘experts’ or the like.

I still enjoyed the evening though and got the opportunity to catch up with Bubble and Dean again, and I also met Lynne.

I’m not sure if I actually got in camerashot at any time, but just in case I did, it was me in the green jacket with dark hair and glasses sitting next to the guy who spoke right at the end about how Reality TV was taking too much airtime away from other programmes.

AS per usual I completely forgot to tape it, but hopefully Mark didso for me.

I taped it, and watched it pity you weren't on, I'll be looking out for you now in the audience.. It was a good programme but they give a lot of the time to the programme maker's and the question asker's. but I'll be looking out for the babe in the Green jacket, with the dark hair.

Glad you enjoyed it though, LEE.

And you are such a lucky lady to meet Dean, yet again. I'm just a teeny bit jealous.

I like Dean, I do.

Oh yes the prat who thinks that the type and age group of people that watch BB at 10 pm on a friday are going to tune into yet another documentry about political scandal or the Third World ( these types are the people who feel we in the UK are responsible for all the worlds evils and want to make documentries about it!)

A crap programme any how -- need councelling after watching BB?? -- a crack round the head with a pool cue should do it !!

I spotted you straight away, Lesley! You were on screen for quite a while during the time Lynne was speaking about how she had been portrayed. From the angle it was shown, it appeared that you were sitting at the table directly behind the lady in the bright peachy pink jacket.

I'm not surprised that you're disappointed you didn't get a chance to speak - and I'm sure you'd have spoken far more sense than some of the so called 'experts' they had on the show.

But, on the plus side - what a bonus meeting up again with Bubble and Dean, and also Lynne.

Yes Kaz, that was me

I wasn't particularly impressed by the three main 'debaters' they had. The first guy was OK, but the two girls were obvioulsy not used to public speaking and very nervous.

I was talking to Stuart about it on the phone afterwards and he said that he thought they had purposely chosen people like that so they wouldn't give the panel a hard time.

He's as cynical as me - lol

I spotted you as well! You were in shot quite often, peeking around the lady in the pink jacket (psychologist I think).

I thought the programme was a missed opportunity really. An open debate with questions for the expert panel would have been better, and you would have been sure to get your two pennorth in then!

Dean was exactly the same wasn't he? I thought Lynne came over very well, good for her!

I think Bubble was looking for a job, very condescending about the after support, warnings they'd had beforehand etc, and looking like he'd gone for an interview for a job!

Anyway Lesley, you looked very nice and it's a pity they didn't give you full reign. never mind. I think it was more about Channel 4 appearing to be 'responsible'. They don't want to loose that slightly arty intellectual image they have strived so hard for, in the wake of their massive success with 'trashy tabloid TV'.

Well, that's my opinion, anyway!
