Viewing figures are down for everything because of the digital TV take up. If Big Brother launched this year, it would never achieve the figures it once got. People always compare the latest viewing figures to that of the highest rated series back in 2002. Well compare the soaps to the ratings in 2002.
The figures might not be what they once were but they are still very healthy for Channel 4, a concept some people can't grasp just because ITV wouldn't put up with the figures its getting.
