Default Why all the hate threads????

I am so confused I have been posting here for a fair few years now and have never seen as many official "hate threads" why have these nasty little threads popped up? I have always enjoyed the fact that we were different to the channel 4 site in that we actually talked about and debated events within the house.

I am really disappointed in the way this has changed the whole site to be honest come on guys can we get back to more of the talking and less of the arguing please

It is up to people to post about the things they feel strongly about, and you have to admit, there has been some disgusting behaviour this year, from most, if not all the housemates.

Well said Sunny.

Through my possibly rose tinted glasses, I seem to remember last year being much better debating. Yes there was some hating going on but it was generally better structured and formed part of a good debating thread which actually had some other point apart from "I hate X".

It seems even the mods and admins are posting less.

I suppose when something becomes more popular you have to accept a drop in quality, but I join you in your plea for more talking and less arguing. Remember all, "it's good to talk"

I do agree with this post, ther are loads of hate threads flying around and it really isn't that necessary, god knows how many anti maxwell ones there are. I just went on Punch a Celeb and he is number one all time celeb to punch! He's above the likes of Jacko and Crazy Frog! Check it out. www.punchaceleb.com

I believe there are a lot of younger people posting on the boards who cannot always articulate their words well enough to post a constructive view without resorting to hateful threads. Of course not all do that ( she says with baited breath before she gets hammered by a teen ) but a lot do.

We seem to have picked up a lot of the posters who have been excluded from the Official Site and other BB forums.

All the regular sites have been having problems this year, mainly with every statement being turned into a 'RACE' issue. DS:BB in particular had a massive problem but seem to be on top of it now.

The fact that the Inmates have split into seperate camps is not helping and channel 4 don't seem to be able to resolve this issue, or not yet anyway.

I agree and I am posting less incase I get shot down for not agreeing with a certain thread. I remember last year the anti Jason Vic threads but some were funny this year it seems like a war

I came here because I didn't like the general feeling of the official forum. I actually really like it here, but I am a bit surprised sometimes, not just by all the 'I hate' threads, but by the way that some forum members address each other.

I wouldnt worry too much Big Sister. It seems that many of the threads just seem to stop dead after someone posts a long interesting point of view about a person or subject. Its almost like some younger members just cant compete on that stimulating level. However I do think its a shame I have just spent a few moments on digital spy and as the previous poster stated that doesnt seem too bad, however I did go back and check out the official BB web site and was shocked by some of the threads there. That was the main reason I came to this board as it seemed more sensible.

I came here too as the Official BB board is full of weirdos.

It seems some of them have made their way here.

If someone has to hate to make themselves feel better about their own insecurities, I just wish they stick to one thread.

The anti Maxwell threads are far too many. I'm not a Maxwell fan, but it's ridiculous.

I personally watch BB for enjoyment, not because I want to hate 1 person. I enjoy the interesting debates, but lately they are reduced, or seemingly are, due to silly threads which involve text speech, capital letters and hate threads.

I even got told to F Off by some kid yesterday, I nearly wet myself with laughter at the little brat

I agree. I actually really don't like Maxwell, but there are too many threads about him - and also Makosi - which seem to exist just for someone to say "I hate them." My own belief is that to hate someone who you don't know is not good for you at all. I don't like some of the housemates, but I don't hate any of them, and would not wish any malice on any them.

As I said before I'm seeing the word 'hate' a lot on the forum at the moment. I mean I've always thought hating Big Brother housemates was a bit over-the-top despite how annoying you might find them.

Another thing is these 'official' hate threads. I don't know what makes them official, so I think I might remove that word.

As far as forum members being insulted and attacked that is unacceptable and against the rules so if you see a post like that use the report button. There are so many posts that I don't read all of them.

Oh, another thing is swearing. I think there's too much of it at the moment and it contributes to an aggresive and negative atmosphere. There are filters which edit swear words but people are getting round them by using a single star, which defeats the purpose of them.

I'll probably have to make a new 'sticky' post about all this.

What a relief to see that I am not the only person that was feeling this way! - James I have every faith that you and the mods do your best to fight the battle against all the swearing etc.

I understand that there are a lot more younger posters here this year and to be honest I think that is fantastic BUT i dont think that age is an excuse for not being able to get a point across my 11 year old daughter can get her point across without being rude or using text talk.

I really enjoy a good debate and have no issue with my opinion being challenged as long is it isnt in a rude way - if there is a good argument to my opinion being challenged it just gives me food for thought and ensures that I think through my reply.

Come on lets get some real talking done here!!!!!

The big difference between this year and the past BB is that there seems to have been alot more younger people register on here and sometimes they take trying to get their point across too far.

I believe most of the people on here are decent people, but there will always be people who don't put their point across very well.

On another note, I really can't stand text talk - it makes my head ache to read it!

Kore you are a perfect example of what I have been trying to say - when you first started posting here you were pretty young but still able to get your point across in a really cool way - we all respected what you said ( and still do) and you came up with some hilarious reasons for why you liked and disliked people without having to use text talk or swearing at others or posting in an agressive manner - that might just be because you are cute though
